Danny Lyon: Message to the Future

Docent Kathryn Zupsic will discuss the work of photographer Danny Lyon, on exhibit at the de Young Museum from November 5 through March 12, 2017. Danny Lyon may appear to be a photojournalist, but he is not. While photojournalists strive to be objective, Lyon has always become immersed in the lives of his subjects, from ‘60s civil rights protestors, to motorcycle gang members and Texas prison inmates.
